A Demon's Thirst!

Demon Boy the gardener!

I'm working on a story right now that involves this character. It's pretty much about how this character became to be this character along with other tidbits in the story. The story is pretty simple as of now. I'm sort of structuring it right now so things can work real nice and smooth. I'm also going to make this into my first animated short. Maybe I can document my progress into this blog so all of you can see!

P.S. He's not a gardener just so you know. I just like being silly.

Tuhday Wuz Mah Boifday!

Hey, everyone! Yesterday, February 20th, was my birthday and, I know it's no big deal, but I'm 21! So instead of you guys giving me presents, I bring the presents to you!

Look at dis nice cake!

Me and my friends had a craving for some Don Hertzfeldt cartoon cake fun!

Here's a new character I invented.

Brother Lion! My lion character's (Looney Lion) half brother!

Well, that's pretty much it! Wave goodbye to the nice people, Mr. Flower!

FINALLY!! New Post!

Hi, everyone! I'm back to show you some more of my insane-o stuff! I'm pretty sure some of you got tired of just seeing the same shitty Christmas card I've been leaving in the last post for a while and I apologize for that (I know I felt like crap for leaving it so long). I also wanted to say thanks to the people who post all the nice comments here. You guys are some of the most kick ass people ever! Anyways, here's some new and kinda interesting shit for all to see!

These two model sheets were made for a class I'm taking now. They're of my two characters: Jackrabbit McGee and Pipsqueak Mouse. They're drawn really generic with symmetry, which was kind of difficult for me at first, largely because I like to go to the extent with my own style trying to make a drawing seem really fun and less generic. Also, this project reminded me of the Preston Blair Lessons John K.'s been giving, so in a way I've learned more by sort of solidifying my characters and making sure that their structures make more sense in design and not focus too much on the contours.

I just noticed that there's a million screw-ups within these drawings. I really have to get back to those John K. lessons!

And now I leave you with other stuff.

Some Drawings, Digital Stuff, & Tom Oreb Studies

Hello, everyone! So far I'm having a pretty good holiday break and I've taken some time to relax a bit at home. I also got Photoshop for free and got to do some coloring and inking on some drawings I've done and it's been kinda fun. It's good now 'cause I barely see my drawings in color.

These were done with the pen tool in Photoshop. I wish I had a Wacom tablet to draw these on. I think they would've seemed looser.

This is the original drawing of Jack, my rabbit character. I think I prefer this one more than the digital one.

Here are some Tom Oreb studies I've done a while back. I really like his designs for characters especially this Trix kid and Oreb's own version of Peg-leg Pete. He actually looks like a cat for once! I'm thinking of doing more studies of his art and other great cartoonists.

I copied some of his character designs and started to analyze them.

Look at this kid's leg! It's double jointed. I always thought that was some crazy designing and it's very creative/original too.

Here are some of my interpretations.

And here's Peg-leg-less Pete Cat!

Here's some good Tom Oreb websites to check out:

Well, I hope you're all having a good break so far. I think I'll be back soon to show more new stuff!!
